Ingredients

  • 1 each Blueberry Hand Pie (recipe below)
  • 1 #8 scoop Blue Bunny® Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, frozen hard into ½’ circle
  • 1 each Cherry Hand Pie (recipe below)
  • ¼ cup Apple Compote, prepared
  • ¼ cup Whipped Cream, prepared
  • 1 tsp Gold Star Sprinkles
Cherry Hand Pie Ingredients
  • 1 each 4” Round Crust (bottom), prepared, raw
  • 1 each 4 ½” Round Crust (top), prepared, raw
  • 1 tsp Egg wash
  • ¼ cup Cherry Pie Filling, prepared
  • 1 ½ tsp Sugar in the Raw
Blueberry Hand Pie Ingredients
  • 1 each 4” Round Crust (bottom), prepared, raw
  • 1 each 4 ½” Round Crust (top), prepared, raw
  • 1 tsp Egg wash
  • ¼ cup Blueberry Pie Filling, prepared
  • 1 ½ tsp Sugar in the Raw

Instructions

  1. Top blueberry pie with a layer of ice cream. 
  2. Place cherry pie on top of ice cream.
  3. Add apple compote on top.
  4. Finish with whipped cream and sprinkle with star sprinkles.
Cherry & Blueberry Hand Pie Instructions
  1. Place 4" round pie crust on work surface. Brush with egg wash.
  2. Scoop pie filling in the center and cover with 4 1/2" pie crust.
  3. Brush with egg wash. Crimp edges with fork. Sprinkle with sugar in the raw. 
  4. Poke hole in the top middle for steam to escape.
  5. Bake at 375° for 14-16 minutes or until brown.

Variations

• Cinnamon ice cream can be substituted for vanilla ice cream.

Hints

• Ice cream can be spread onto sheet pans and frozen solid, then cut into 4" circles and used in application.
